Gabrielle + Cam’s engagement session at Phipps Conservatory was a plant-lover’s dream – and in the middle of a Pittsburgh winter, no less! Phipps is seriously the best option for getting some summertime greenery in your photos when it’s freezing cold outside.
These two are some of my dearest friends, and Gabby and I are both originally from Wheeling, WV! She works as the Sustainability Manager at Phipps, which is partly why they decided on doing their engagement session here. Luckily enough, Phipps is also filled with tons of moss and ferns – the main botanical focus of their Blackwater Falls wedding in September! Gabby’s ring is even moss agate, so I had to get a photo of those stunning greens together.
While Phipps was a little crowded being a Saturday, we maneuvered around the people and were able to catch some super cute + intimate moments. These two are truly made for one another. We even found a little scaly surprise – Godzilla fighting a swarm of lantern flies in the train room!
While Gabby + Cam may not be getting married at Phipps, I’m photographing two Phipps weddings later this year! If you want your own candid, intimate engagement sesh, or a photographer who knows all the ins + outs of Phipps Conservatory, come say hi!
